Mothers' Day event

Mothers' Day was not created to sell flowers. Many people don't know that Mothers' Day was started as an anti-war event. In 1870, Julia Ward Howe, who wrote Battle Hymn of the Republic, called the first Mothers' Day celebration in memory of the carnage of the Civil War.
Tomorrow, there will be a proper anti-war Mothers' Day event. It will be on the village green in Davidson (don't have an intersection for this, but Davidson is very small), from 1 to 3pm. I'm going. Hope to see you there.
